Q: What do I need to play Rebel Dawn?
A: You need a browser that supports Shockwave 8.5.1. Go to Macromedia's site to get Shockwave. If you already have Shockwave, go to this page to test it to make sure you have Shockwave verison 8.5.1 or newer. You should also have a pretty fast computer, say Pentium II or better, or Mac G3 or better.
Q: Do I need a high bandwidth connection to play Rebel Dawn?
A: No. Download time for the initial game will be a little long for modem users, but the game will still work. For multiplayer and server communication, you should have a quality connection, but it doesn't necessarily need to be high bandwidth.
Q: Is Rebel Dawn a single-player or multi-player game?
A: Rebel Dawn is a multi-player game. You are connected to a server which connects you to every other player online. You can chat with other players as you cross paths, send messages to players anywhere in the game, and even trade goods and money with other players. However, if you prefer a single-player adventure, you can ignore these features and go about your business.
Q: The Rebel Dawn universe seems small. Will more planets be added?
A: Yes. We plan to have more than 100 systems by the end of 2002.
Q: How much does it cost to play Rebel Dawn?
A: During the initial testing phase of the game, we will not charge players to participate. Eventually we will move to a system where subscribers can play the full game while guests will only be able to play short sessions.
Q: Who makes Rebel Dawn?
A: CleverMedia makes and owns Rebel Dawn. You can find out more about CleverMedia at this site.
